No New news
No real new news yet. I am awaiting the translation of Taylor's document. This document will show where she was left, the date, how old she was, if there was any note.
I have found a chinese doctor who is going to translate her medical information for me.
Gotta Go -

No new news
Well - no news to report today. the yahoo boards are buzzing about when the next batch of referrals will be. Everyone has an opintion but nobody really knows when. I can only hope and pray that we are in this upcoming batch. We have a LID (log in date) of 10/13/04 to China and they have been cutting the amount of dossiers by the middl eof the month. So hopefully if all goes well, I will soon have news to post.
Well gotta go and do some work.

it has been awhile
It is now April and I have not gotten around to writing anything for a really long time. We are still waiting on a referral from China. We expect any day now. We have decided on a name. Taylor Grace Butler.
I am starting a 100 wishes quilt. I have received 30 good wishes so far. For those who don't know what a 100 wishes quilt is here is a bit of information:
What is a 100 Good Wishes Quilt?
To welcome and celebrate a new life, there is a tradition in the northern part of China to make a Bai Jia Bei, or 100 Good Wishes Quilt. It is a custom to invite friends and family to contribute a patch of cloth with a wish for the baby. Part of the patch of cloth goes into the quilt for the baby, and the other part of the cloth can go into a creative memory notebook with the wish for the child. The quilt contains the luck, energy, and good wishes from all the families and friends who contributed a piece of fabric. The quilt is then passed down from generation to generation.
We found out about 100 wishes quilts through friends who adopted a daughter from China. It is a tradition to greet the new baby with a 100 Good Wishes Quilt. Although this is a Chinese tradition, it is a great tradition for any child to be welcomed this way. What a treat to read the good wishes when the child is older to know how much they were wanted!
We have just bought a new house in Richmond. We should be moving into the house in a few weeks. As soon as I figure out how to post pictures I will do that.
