A big step.....

Taylor is now sleeping in a "big" girl bed. Ever since she was at Grandma's and slept in her own "big" girl bed, the crib was no longer her choice of bed. So, we ordered her a new bed and it came in the other day and we went yesterday and bought a new mattress and linens. Here you can see how happy she is in her new bed. She slept in her bed last night until 8:30 this morning. She woke up saying, "I like my bed".

Taylor in the tub

Taylor sings happy birthday, says her name, describes a family and tells everyone what her, Mommy and Daddy are.

You may have to turn it up to listen.

Taylor sleeping in Mommy and Daddy's bed

I don't think I can type anything that can match this picture. Taylor is sleeping with Mommy tonight because her baby bed has been taken down and her big girl bed is being delivered tomorrow. She loves sleeping in a big girl bed and we felt she was ready for this next step.

She is growing up fast. We were just in China last June/July in 2005. What happened, the time just flew by.

10 THINGS I AM MOST THANKFUL FOR

Here are some things that I am thankful for this year and in no particular order...

1. Our daughter. Alan and I were married for almost 16 years before Taylor came into our lives. I went thru many years of tears and heartache because I couldn't become pregnant, but in the end I was blessed with a little girl that I could not love anymore than if she was my own.

2. My health
3. My husband
4. We have a roof over our head. It may not be the fanciest or the biggest but it keeps us warm and dry.
5. To China and the CCAA for matching us with a daughther that fits into our family perfectly. Not just with Mommy and Daddy, but with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
6. That we are fortunate enough that we could afford to adopt and be able to support Taylor in away that Alan and I didn't have. Not just with money but with unconditional love.
7. My Family
8. My husband's family
9. To be able to adopt again
10. My sister, we didn't have alot growing up and had to grow up fast because of certain circumstances. Her and I lived thru a lot in a few years and are the only ones that understand what we went thru. We can laugh about it now, but at the time we just had each other to rely on.

New pictures of Taylor

Taylor reading her potty book - she is about 85 % potty trained. She will tell me most of the time when she has to potty. She can't go all night yet and she sometimes still has an accident once in awhile.

Taylor spells her name

Taylor can spell her name - although mommy had to help her with the last letter.

Princess Taylor

Taylor was a princess this year for Halloween. She wasn't feeling too good last night so I don't really have a good picture of her in her costume.
